2022's ornament honors the past as we look toward the future. Brothers Ernest and Frank Bailey started Sanibel Packing Company as a packing and shipping facility for the island's agricultural products in 1899. At one time in New York, Sanibel Island Tomatoes were a delicacy. The 2022 holiday ornament is a replica of the set of vintage business cards our family holds close to honor the past. When the island changed from an agricultural economy to a tourism economy, we converted to Bailey's General Store and eventually became the grocery and hardware store you know and love on the corner of Periwinkle Way and Tarpon Bay Road. 

These ornaments rode out the storm safely in our upstairs office where they waited for the holiday season. Thank you for your patience while we simultaneously reopen The Island Store, plan the future of Bailey's General Store, and open an online shopping emporium all at one time!
